Tapioca Pancake

This is hands down the healthiest version of a pancake. It might not come at the best time since its almost Christmas and all I can think about right now is far from healthy…but, if you have the will to keep your self away from all the sugar then I hope this post helps you keep on that track.

This is Tapioca, a starch extract derived from the cassava plant with a whole lot of health benefits like:

  • Bost energy levels
  • Aids in healthy weight gain
  • Helps prevent Alzheimer’s disease
  • Reduces risk of cardiovascular disorders
  • Beneficial in improving blood circulation
  • Useful for muscle growth and development
  • Helps in maintaining optimal blood pressure

Its unique composition of carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and organic compounds include a very low level of saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. It is also a rich in fiber, “good” cholesterol, and protein.

However, tapioca is also packed with carbohydrates and 1 cup has enough for your daily requirement of carbs. Making it great for those who lose weight quickly when training and helps develop muscles the healthy way.

Its also really easy to do these crepe-styled pancakes…the only thing you need is…the tapioca…it comes in tiny pearls and looks like a thick flower. Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat and add a thin layer of tapioca to the warm pan. No oil needed because of the amount of moisture.

Once in a while, I have it for breakfast and this is just one of the enormous ways you can make it. You can have it sweet or savory, for lunch or dinner.
